Celebrities Born With A Silver Spoon

June 28, 2023

It is easy to envy the life of the celebrity since they are so beautiful, adored, and on the covers of all the magazines. Their lives seem perfect, and they do not have to deal with the issues that plague the average person. It may be even more unfair when a celebrity is already born with a silver spoon in their mouth, but these already-rich celebrities prove they can create their wealth.

Anderson Cooper

Anderson Cooper is a true CNN icon who continues to dominate the world news cycle. Yet, what many individuals may not realize is he was born into one of America's richest families. The majority of his wealth came from his mother Gloria Vanderbilt, an heiress. In 1970, he made his first television appearance with his mother on The Tonight Show.

Cooper's grandparents were millionaire equestrian Reginald Claypoole Vanderbilt and his socialite wife, Gloria Morgan Vanderbilt. Then, there is his great-great-grandfather who built the family fortune through shipping and railroads. In the early eighties, many of the most fashionable flaunted Vanderbilt Jeans. His mother created their fashion design house. This might explain where he learned his fashion sense and youthful style.

Although Cooper probably rakes in the big bucks as a senior CNN anchor, his mother is estimated to be worth upwards of 200 million dollars. Certainly not pocket change! He even attended the Dalton School, an independent school in New York, though his demeanor is such that he doesnotexhibit any of the expected trappings of enormous and extravagant wealth.

Anderson Cooper has made a global name for himself as a highly respected anchor on CNN. This is all the more reason to praise his upbringing, as he could have easily chosen to live the life of the rich, freewheeling bachelor. Instead, Cooper decidedto make his own mark in the world beyond his family's enviable and vast fortune.

Robin Thicke

Any child of the eighties will remember Growing Pains, one of the most popular television shows of the period. The show helped raise millions of latchkey kids, sharing family values and the obstacles faced as children got older. Robin Thicke, singer, songwriter, and ladykiller, grew up with celebrity parents. His father Alan played Dr. Jason Seaver on Growing Pains, but also worked as a game show host, talk show host, and songwriter. This may have been passed on to Robin, who looks perfect for the small or big screen, though he chose music, and it has been working well for him.

Robin's mother is former Days Of Our Lives soap actress Gloria Loring. When Robin was born, his parents were already living quite comfortably. It is no surprise Robin continued their tradition of emoting in the spotlight with his music career. Over the past decade, Robin has had numerous hits and platinum-selling albums. Fans cannot get enough of him.

Robin's father recently dabbled in reality television, and Robin endured a high-profile divorce a few years ago, though everyone seems to be moving along and recovering well. Robin does not necessarily need his parent's money since he has made his own. His sultry songs and voice continue to attract fans the world over, and he may have surpassed his family's wealth.

Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus was definitely born with a silver spoon in her mouth. Her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, penned and sang the nineties hit Achy Breaky Heart. At that time, it was one of the biggest sellers of the decade. Some say he was a one-hit wonder, but he continued to sing and act.

Miley's father was already famous and well-known when she was born. All she had to do was carry on the tradition, which she did with flying colors. Starring in Disney's Hannah Montana, she picked up a whole new set of global and die-hard fans. This only set the stage for her next act: making albums. As a singer, Miley went on to become a platinum-selling artist, which started taking place before she even turned twenty-one. While her father still held various television roles, it was clear Miley was a rising global pop star and the family breadwinner. When she was born, her family was worth millions. She is now worth 150 million dollars herself.

Miley started out with an America's sweetheart reputation. She has since caused controversy with her public nudity and questionable acts at her concerts, though her choices do not seem to be hurting her pocketbook. She has not yet reached thirty, and she does not have to work another day in her life if she chooses not to.

Julia Louis Dreyfus

Julia Louis Dreyfus is an accomplished comedian strongly remembered for her role on the TV classic, Seinfeld. Her dark, long, curly hair and memorable one-liners are beloved the world over. Fans can always catch their fill on Seinfeld reruns, as it is currently in syndication. Dreyfus was already mega-rich even before she got her big Hollywood break, though she continues to work regardless of wealth. In 1851, her great-grandfather founded Louis Dreyfus Energy Services, a shipping conglomerate in French commodities. Her family still runs the company, which is quite impressive given many families give up their shares after a few decades. When she was born, her father was a billionaire. Her silver spoon was large.

Dreyfus is a multi-millionaire in her own right with the success of Seinfeld and Veep. She has appeared in a host of commercials, such as for Old Navy. Her father, Gérard Louis-Dreyfus, is worth an estimated 3.4 billion dollars. Hardly chump change and certainly enough to retire very comfortably. This makes her the wealthiest celebrity on this list.

You have to wonder if Dreyfus draws any inspiration from her upbringing. Instead of living the life of a queen or princess, she appears to find joy in making fun of herself. She has certainly accomplished the objective of setting herself apart from her family's admirable accomplishments.

Adam Levine

In the early 2000s, Maroon 5 burst onto the music scene with its undeniably awesome songs and a lead singer with moves like Jagger. Adam Levine quickly caught the attention of gushing fans while Maroon 5 escalated to the tops of the charts. The band's performances stood out as the anti-boy band movement started to gain traction with music lovers everywhere.

Adam Levine probably did not have to wait tables while hoping for his music career to launch. He met two of his Maroon 5 bandmates while attending the prestigious and well-known private Brentwood School, and his father founded the retail chain, M. Frederic. Levine now designs clothing for Kmart; perhaps his father's stores served as the ultimate in inspiration.

Levine is now a winning judge on The Voice and platinum-selling recording artist. In addition, he married Victoria's Secret model, Behati Prinsloo, with whom he has two daughters. His life drips in wealth, beauty and adoration. Most of his albums are Billboard hits. He is also estimated to be worth fifty million dollars.

Since the early 2000s, a year has not gone by without seeing news about Adam Levine. His bromance with Blake Shelton on The Voice makes him appear friendly and relatable. He certainly does not come across as someone who was born into wealth. He is always willing to work as a mentor on The Voice and to his adoring fans.

The singer did not have to suffer too much while pursuing her dreams of superstardom, as her parents were already wealthy when she was born. Her father, Edward Butera, is the CEO of graphic design company Ibi Designs Inc., based out of Boca Raton, Florida. Some of his established clients include world-famous toy company FAO Schwarz and comedian Eddy Murphy.

Despite the fortune, Ariana Grande gives her mother, Joan Grande, the credit for her work ethic. Joan happens to be the CEO of Hose-McCann Communications, so if Ariana ever wanted to follow in the family's footsteps, she would certainly have big shoes to fill.

Since her parents are already well off, Ariana does not have to worry about supporting them, and she can enjoy the countless millions she earns through singing and acting. Her songs are often on replay when MTV decides to airmusic videos early in the morning. Her loyal fans purchase her several albums in droves. Her fashion sense also starts trends.

When singer Jordin Sparks first appeared on the sixth season of American Idol, her talent was plain for the world to see. After winning, she went on to produce several hits and platinum-selling albums. She also went through a public transformation, going from slightly overweightto slim. Making a significant living off her singingwas not surprising given her formidable talent.

Jordin's father is more than just a white or blue-collar dad. He is Phillipi Sparks, the former cornerback for the New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys. It is certain Jordin had the opportunity to attend her fair share of football games, while also meeting the cream of the crop in the National Football League.

Jordin might have considered a career as a sportscaster or sports analyst, as she has the background and upbringing for it. She might have even borrowed some of her dad's money to build a business, but her voice was her moneymaker. Not wanting to bask in her father's limelight, she created her own. She is now more recognized than her father.

The singer's mother is an entrepreneur, so perhaps this is where Jordin got her independent streak. She may eventually get back into the sports world, though she has no reason to do so, as she found success and support within a completely different industry.

Today, Sheeran is estimated to be worth sixty-five million dollars. He did risk his parent's ire by quitting school, as he was raised in an affluent environment. Before the singer made his millions, he would sleep on the streets between gigs because he could notafford a hotel, and did not want to use his parent's money for advancement.

Up until 2010, his parents ran the art consultancy, Sheeran Lock. Imogen, his mother, is also a jewelry maker. She may have since made jewelry for some of his famous friends, including Taylor Swift. His father, John, works as an art curator and lecturer. They may not have been multi-millionaires, but they were far from impoverished or in need.
